Irrigation is an important part of providing proper plant health, disease/pest management and erosion control. A properly tuned irrigation system is programmed for the heaviest watering month of the year and adjusted monthly with the seasonal adjust setting. Water prices continue to increase every year and are to continue increasing for the foreseeable future. An irrigation system that uses just 5 pounds of pressure more than the manufacturers requirements may use up to 40% excess water. Over the past year we have been working on developing and installing IQ systems that allow remote monitoring access as well as gallon usage. These systems allow us to detect leaks or other problems within minutes of happening to prevent high water bills that are 30 to 60 days behind.
